Bill Burr is a hilarious comedian that talks about the things everyone wants to talk about, but is to afraid to say it. He has a very interesting take on life and everything in it, even Formula 1. He does a weekly podcast strategically named Bill Burr’s Monday Morning Podcast and on one of his previous episodes he went on a rant regarding the Austrian Grand Prix. If you don’t follow F1 there is a steaming rivalry going on between Mercedes teammates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. The beginning of the season was all Rosberg holding the top spot, but as of late Hamilton is on a charge winning back to back races.

The momentum seemed to shift during the Austrian Grand Prix when the two Mercedes drivers nearly took each other out going around a corner. Hamilton ended up claiming the victory as Rosberg limped his car across the finish line. Well why don’t I let Bill Burr tell you what happened in his words because nobody can make up what comes out of this guys mouth. Now I must warn you, if you haven’t seen or heard anything Burr has done he has what some would call a “potty mouth” so consider yourself warned. If you’d prefer to listen to it you can go here, the F1 bit starts around the 23 minute mark. But for those of you that prefer to read it, Road and Track has the transcript.

I think it would be the greatest thing ever to have a comedian like Burr in the broadcast booth for even just one of these races. I think it would probably only take one race to either send the ratings through the roof, or get the network cancelled by the FCC. But it would be entertaining as hell that’s for sure. Not that Formula 1 isn’t already, but there’s always room for improvement.
