Today was the world renowned Geneva Car Show which is a common place for car manufactures to unveil their latest achievements and this year’s show did not disappoint. With so many perfect candidates there, we had to think about which car to report on first. But we didn’t have to think very long or hard because without question the most highly anticipated debut this year has to be the latest ultra high-performance luxury car from Bugatti, dubbed the Chiron. There was speculation that the Chiron would look very similar to the Gran Turismo concept that was released a few months ago, but we think it needs to be said that the car that Bugatti released today looks so much better than we had once thought. I wasn’t a huge fan of the renderings that were floating around the internet but when I saw the pictures from Geneva, I instantly fell in love.

There are so many numbers and facts about this car that are mind blowing that it will take a little bit to wrap your head around them and really understand just how amazing this machine is. Starting out with some of the big ones; price, well they are only making 500 of these beauties so even though the price is set at around $2.5 million right now, I highly doubt it will stay there long and the price is bound to increase. Next; power, using the same quad turbo W16 from the Super Sport but they increased the size of the turbochargers and were able to coax 1500hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque that is said to slingshot the car from 0-60 in under 2 seconds using a similar all-wheel drive setup from the SS. UNDER TWO SECONDS! It’s not like this is some tiny track car either, this thing is a beast, it’s a full-size car. It weighs in at around 4400 lbs and due to using a significant amount of carbon fiber and titanium, they were able to make it a whopping 18lbs lighter than the Veyron SS. There will be an electric limiter that kicks in at 261mph, but the car is projected to be able to hit in excess of 290mph once opened up all the way, so it will be interesting to see what happens when someone finally does it. It’s been no secret that Bugatti wants to take back the title of World’s Fastest Production vehicle that they have held two times before but is currently held by the American Made Hennessy Venom GT.

The interior looks as good as the performance of the car, to try and put it into perspective. It is a $2.5 Million car so you would expect the interior to be lined with gold (it does have diamonds in the speakers) or something but if it’s possible, this looks even better. Everywhere you look is perfection. Every stitch in the perfectly cured leather is a masterpiece, all the knobs have the feel of real metal, there is not a piece of plastic in sight. People inside Bugatti have referred to the Chiron as a “Concert Hall On Wheels” because it has such an amazing sound system and due to such high quality manufacturing, the acoustics inside are incredible, almost as if you had a recording studio. Can’t wait to see the first Rap video of someone recording an album inside their Bugatti.

There will be plenty more to come as more information about this amazing hypercar becomes available, and we cant wait for the drag racing videos to come pouring in. Can you say Venom GT vs Chiron 1 mile drag race? Yes please! One thing is for sure, the Chiron has a speedometer that reads 310mph (500kph) so I’m betting they have every intention of taking back the crown currently held by the Venom GT.
