Country clubs are normally a place where you see old, rich, retired men out on the golf course while their families hang out by the pool eating overpriced appetizers. Not the kind of place where an off-road enthusiast would enjoy themselves, to say the least. However as with most things, there’s always going to be the exception to the rule, and that’s exactly what’s taking place here. The guys at Perplexed Media and Heat Wave Visual released a video today called Country Club Assault and as you’ll notice within the first 30 seconds, this is the type of country club that an off-roader dreams about. That’s because this happens to be abandoned and the golf course has been left for dead, which leaves an ideal location to get “Shreddy” and have a hardcore hoon session with a Pro 2 and wicked class one buggy.

The buggy is no ordinary buggy either, it happens to belong to Blake Wilkey, and having seen this thing in person I assure you it is badass with a capital B. Not only is it fitted with a King Shocks long travel suspension setup, but it’s got an LS motor from a Corvette that provides more than enough power whenever Blake requests it. At the time of shooting this epic film, Blake was running the car naturally aspirated but has since installed a Magnuson Supercharger that turned this beast into a full blown monster with the most epic exhaust note. You might recognize his name from the Urban Assault video that went viral last year showing Blake hooning his high horsepower VW Bug he lovingly named “the Land Shark” through the streets of San Diego California in the same sense as Ken Block and his Gymkhana sessions, only without the proper permits and law enforcement sanction. Needless to say, Blake got in a little bit of trouble. But that’s all in the past, including the Land Shark which ended up being sold to a buyer in Qatar. This blue buggy is a new and improved Land Shark and Blake is not afraid to push it to the limits and sometimes far beyond. Wilkey is part of the Dirt Alliance which includes Chris Isenhouer and his gorgeous F-100 Prerunner as well as a whole list of other hardcore enthusiasts which are known for living that off-road “shreddylife.”

As if seeing Wilkey shredding around on an abandoned golf course wouldn’t be cool enough, they went ahead and commissioned Myan Spaccarelli and his Toyota Pro 2 race truck to come and join in on the fun. I can’t even find the words to properly describe how fun, cool, and badass it must be to be behind the wheel of either one of these vehicles. Plus it’s got to be pretty epic having a front row seat to the other vehicle doing its thing as well. Blake and his crew are a great bunch of dudes that aren’t afraid to get a little wild when it comes to off-roading, and that’s something we here at Moto Networks fully support. Check out Country Club Assault and prepare to be equal parts impressed and jealous.
