If you’re going to spend over a million dollars on a boat it may as well be one that has Aston Martin badges all over the place, even if Aston isn’t known for their “boat making” abilities. But they are however known for their extremely high level of craftsmanship so hence why it would be ok to own one. Now let’s be honest, this type of thing is only for the .001% of the world because with a starting price of $1.26 million for the “base” model is a substantial amount of money.
This boat is really for the guy that already has a yacht and just wants to be seen cruising around the marina in a boat made by Aston Martin. From what I can tell this boat has only one purpose, to look good and maybe go fast. You definitely would not want to be doing any sort of watersports with it for multiple reasons. First and foremost, it looks so nice on the inside that I personally wouldn’t want anyone fresh out the water dripping all over the place. Granted there is a massive “sunbathing deck” but even still that’s made out of teak wood that looks more like a work of art than a place to lay out and work on your tan. I guess if it was a bunch of topless supermodels that would make a lot more sense.
Other than looking like a supercar on water, the only other thing that I find appealing about this boat is that it is considered to be a performance boat. There are three different options as far as engine choices. The “base” model gets twin 430hp V8’s bringing the overall horsepower up to 860hp. But the top of the line AM37S Platinum gets twin 520hp V8’s that produce a total of 1,040hp and is said to reach upwards of 70 knots when at full throttle. Aston is also offering a diesel option that offers twin 370hp diesel engines which also make it to the first Aston to use diesel. Considering that its roughly 37 feet long you’d almost expect it to be a little more, but you can’t really complain though either.
