Being a bystander at racing events have an element of danger when attending them. Some more so than others. Some of the most dangerous would have to be off road racing, whether that is desert racing like the races held in Baja, or Rally races held all over the world. These are some of the most dangerous because spectators can get right up on the road as vehicles come flying by. Normally these stories have a pretty terrible ending, but that’s not the case here.
At the 2016 Rally Codasur in Argentina onlookers had their camera phones out when they spotted a little dog running down the middle of the road where competitors had been flying by all day. It happened to be right around a corner so the rally drivers would have no chance of seeing the dog. Sure enough, Uruguay driver Fernando Zuasnabar comes into frame behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Evo rally car and you cant help but to hold your breathe thinking with certainty, this dog didn’t stand a chance. Just as you’re about to turn your head away from watching this poor dog get destroyed, the car almost magically jumps right over the top of the dog. Of course the small little jump had been there all along but you couldn’t see it in the video. So it made it appear as if the jump just popped up out of nowhere to save the little fido. The timing of it all is almost too perfect, if we didn’t know any better we would be thinking the whole thing was fabricated! It’s that good. See for yourself.
