If you have always wanted to purchase your very own slice of history now is your chance. Indian has just put their astonishingly successful FTR750 flat track bike on the market. It is now or never, especially when you consider the small number that Indian has made available.
We have gone well in depth of how amazing the FTR750 from Indian is. At the time Indian had won just 3 races, which we took as a sign of things to come. We’ll, we were right. As of right now the ‘Wrecking Crew‘ has captured 22 of 27 total podium spots throughout the season. They also sit 1,2, and 3 in the American Flat Track Championship. That is an unprecedented level of success, no doubt due to the quality of the bike as well as the men riding it.
While buying the FTR750 won’t give you the exact same skill set as Jared Mees, Bryan Smith, and Brad Baker, it will get you a little bit closer. And I don’t mean that in the ironic sense, it’s actually one of the perks. When you buy an FTR750 from Indian you don’t get just the most dominant bike in flat track history, you also get A VIP experience that includes going to one of the events with full team access. For your second day you won’t just hang out with the ‘Wrecking Crew’, you will actually get to take a one-on-one lesson from one of the Wrecking Crew riders. Ergo, buying a FTR750 will get you a little bit closer to being one of the best Flat Trackers in the world. But just a bit.
Now here is the potential downside. You need to act fast. Indian is only producing 50 total FTR750’s for purchase. Five-Zero. There are more GSX-R’s sold in an hour than that. Yet that’s the number they are sticking with. You must act rapidly or you will certainly miss you chance at purchasing this legendary bike. And as a bonus, you get some really personal choices to tailor this bike to exactly what you are looking for.
To personalize the FTR750 you can choose your own numberplate, selecting 1-50 to commemorate your FTR. This is of course on first come first serve basis, so again you must act fast! Next you can select how you would like your FTR styled, picking from a variety of finishes. Race replica or bust if you ask me. And finally you can choose to have your FTR fitted with a front brake. Not gonna lie, I would totally do this. If there is any chance in me not dying while riding this thing it’s going to be because of that front brake.
So how much would one of these slices of history cost you? Just a crisp fifty-G’s. That’s all. And did I mention that you can’t register it? Yeahhh, that’s kind of a bummer. But that’s because this isn’t a tribute, it’s the exact same bike you will find the Wrecking Crew dominating on, making it well worth that stout price tag. If there were ever a time to splurge on a little chunk of history, I believe it to be now.
