Brett Rasmussen is a well known and respected name in the world of snowmobiling. He has more years of riding experience than most of the riders he teaches have been alive. He currently works with Ski-Doo sleds and played a major part in redesigning their backcountry sleds over the past few years. He may not be as flashy as some of the younger riders, such as Chris Burandt, but don’t let that fool you, this guy can not only ride with the best but he’s probably taught the best a thing or two. Brett runs a similar operation to the Burandt’s Back Country Adventure where he takes experienced riders out and shows them how to improve their riding in the backcountry. One of his specialties is making the sled work for you instead of you working for the sled. He’s not what you would call a “big guy” so manhandling one of these snowmobiles isn’t an easy thing. But when you watch him ride you’d think he was an Olympic powerlifter the way he manages to have the sled in the perfect position for every circumstance, especially when it comes to the sidehill. Check out this video where he explains why you should learn to ride “Rasmussen Style“.
