Lebanon Ford, based out of Ohio, has made a name for themselves by creating and selling extremely high-horsepower variations of the Ford Mustang. Back in May of 2016, they announced that they would be selling brand new Mustangs packing 727hp, thanks to an added supercharger, for only $40,000. I assumed that would be on top of the cost of the donor car, but it’s not. That’s actually the price out the door. Now they’ve gone and one-upped themselves by creating a package that is claimed to produce 1200hp and it costs just under $50,000.

They’re calling it the LFP Hellion (Lebanon Ford Performance) and as with most incredible machines like this, it will only be produced in limited numbers. However, if you’re one of the lucky ones, you’ll get the potential of having as much power as a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport for less than the price of a BMW M2. Lebanon Ford will offer multiple packages, but the top dog is the package 2 that gets you an upgraded twin turbo system, cat-back exhaust and much more. Lebanon Ford claims 1200hp, but according to their website the package 2 is capable of producing “up to 1200 wheel horsepower”. Although, if you’re looking for that level of performance you would need to make specific arrangements with the dealer.

The few examples that’ll be built with these extreme horsepower figures will be pushing as much as 30psi from its twin turbo system. With that much boost, one thing that’ll be interesting to see, aside from how long a set of rear tires lasts, is the overall reliability and driveability of the super muscle car. Is it going to be something that’s only usable on the drag strip, or will you be able to drive it to the corner store for a milk run with no problems?

One thing to keep in mind when looking into the LFP Hellion, you would definitely be voiding any powertrain warranty provided by the factory, and Lebanon Ford doesn’t offer any warranty programs on its Hellion products. However, if you’re in the market for a 1200hp car that didn’t come that way from the factory, you already know to expect this sort of thing. But when it only costs $50,000 you could just buy another one for probably less money than it would cost to buy a limited warranty on other 1200+hp cars like the Veyron, Chiron, and even the Venom GT.
