An event that was being refereed to as the biggest in Action Sports history took place last week in Salt Lake City. It was called the Nitro World Games and it was hosted by the one and only Travis Pastrana and his Nitro Circus performers. Believe it or not, this actually makes things like the X-Games seem like an amateur competition. OK so maybe that’s slightly exaggerated. But after watching the highlights, you will see what i’m referring to.

There is one common denominator regarding this entire event, Big Air. You were likely to see anything from Motorcycles, Skateboards, BMX Bikes, Scooters, Roller Blades and even a Wheelchair is likely to bee seen flying through the air. That’s right, I said a wheelchair. One of the Nitro Circus performers known simply as “Wheels” had been known to go down the big ramp and do both a back flip and now a front flip, while strapped into his wheelchair. In my opinion though, the freestyle motocross is by far the star of the show. The tricks these guys pull of while upside down, or twist around, reaches into the unbelievable category. Remember when the “Heel clicker” was about the coolest trick one could pull of on a dirtbike? Well now they’re doing combinations that include heel clickers and other original tricks, but while upside down doing a back flip. So if you didn’t get a chance to watch the full event streamed live on YouTube here is a short video of most of the highlights and winning runs.
