Ken Block teams up with TOYO tires and has announced that they will be releasing Gymkhana 8, February 29Th on the Ford Performance YouTube channel. Block used the now famous Hoonicorn in the last Gymkhana, which was the custom built ’65 Mustang, but has opted to go back to the Ford Fiesta like he has used in previous installments of the viral videos. This time he’s using a brand new Fiesta ST RX43 that has been tuned out to 650hp, with all wheel drive, and capabilities of hitting 0-60 in under 2 seconds. This thing will be an absolute rocket ship.
All of the liveries that Block has used on his race vehicles including the ones used in his Gymkhana videos have been stylish to say the least. Using bright vibrant colors to advertise all of his companies like DC shoes and Hoonigan, as well as major sponsors like Monster Energy and Toyo Tires, have been unique to anything else you would have seen at the time, but yet in a way major trends seem to follow what he has done. On this particular car, Block used this new ultra reflective livery that changes colors depending on which angle you are looking at or which color is being shined at it. It also has revealing shapes and patterns that seem to appear out of nowhere and it’s a safe bet that this pattern of Ken Block starting livery design trends appears as if its going to continue.
