In order to be considered a true Ferrari collector, you must own a wide variety of Fcars all throughout the prancing horse lineup. We could argue all day about what is the most iconic Ferrari ever built and still not come up with a definitive answer. But if you say name five of the best Ferrari’s made, at least in modern times, you’d probably end up with at least four of the five cars brought out by David Lee for an upcoming episode of Jay Leno’s Garage.
Lee is a successful businessman that has earned the opportunity of owning one of the most respected Ferrari collections in the world and he wanted to bring out what he felt to be five of the most collectable Ferraris all on one track. The cars he brought was the 1990 F40, 1995 F50, 1985 288 GTO, 2003 Enzo, and of course the 2014 LaFerrari. These are all fantastic cars and it’s clear Mr.Lee knows a thing or two about Ferraris, but considering that I just had my first Ferrari experience last week in an F430, and it totally changed my life, I really wish it was on the list as well. But with the production numbers of the F430 there is no way it would be considered a collectable at this point. Unless maybe it was a gated 6-speed or the Scuderia. We did think it was interesting that of all the cars Jay Leno has in his garage, a Ferrari is not one of them. Check out a preview of the show episode scheduled to come out November 9th.
