I hate hearing about these kinds of stories even aside from the fact that a supercar was involved. Reports coming out of Australia indicate that the owner of this Ferrari 360 Spyder had his computer, wallet, and debit card stolen all while his beloved car burned to ashes at the same time. And to make matters worse, [apparently] the fire is not covered under his insurance.

The owner of the car was at the ATM when he turned around and saw that his brand new, to him at least, Ferrari 360 Spyder was on fire! As he ran back to try and save his car there were all sorts of commotion, as you would expect, like people running around with fire extinguishers trying to put the blaze out. However, some of those “good samaritans” were only doing this as a disguise while they robbed him while he was distracted with his car. Sydney firefighters made it to the scene and managed to get the blaze under control, but by that time the damage had already been done, both to the car and the owner.

There will be no saving this Ferrari 360, unfortunately for both the owner and supercar lovers around the world. No arrests have been made as of this writing, but here’s to hoping justice is served. The cause of the fire has not been determined, other than officials don’t feel it was started with criminal intent.
