Believe it or not, there’s actually a Guinness World Record for the largest flag to be pulled behind a vehicle, and now that record holder is the Chevy Duramax diesel. I’ve always been a huge fan of the looks of the Silverado and now they’ve made the 6.6L Duramax even more powerful with a total of 445hp and very impressive 910lb-ft of torque which makes it even more appealing. Chevy officials took the new Silverado HD out to the Texas Motor Speedway with intentions of setting this record, however random it may be.

They used an American flag that measured 80 feet long and 40 feet wide and attached it to the back of the truck using a massive rigging system. It required a small amount of creativity because as you may already know it was very important that the flag not touch the ground. It took about 20 people underneath the flag holding it off the ground until the truck took off> I will say, as random as this Guinness World Record may be, it did look pretty cool as this huge flag fluttered in the wind behind a single truck.
