There are very few tuners in the world that you’d feel comfortable taking your Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini to get some work done, and even less that the companies themselves would allow to work on these Italian masterpieces. The Novitec Group is one of those tuners. Started in 1989 it was the brainchild of Wolfgang Hagedorn and has now morphed into a major company that currently has four different sub-brands, one for each of the manufacturers that its working on. Novitec Torado focuses strictly on Lamborghini, Novitec Tridente is the Masserati group, SPOFEC is one that is not as well known but works only with Rolls Royce. But the one that is most well known, and what we are gonna talk about, is Novitec Rosso, the famous Ferrari tuner.

The most recent model that has been released is the Ferrari F12 N-Largo S but with its sinister black look it has fittingly earned the nickname “The Dark Knight”. Its Based off of the F12 which is already one of the most powerful Ferraris made with a 6.3L V12 pumping out 731hp and 503lb-ft of torque straight from the factory. By upgrading the quad exhaust system and remapping the ECU, Novitec Rosso was able to coax additional horsepower out of the naturally aspirated V12 bringing it up to 781hp and 532lb-ft. Performance is said to be slightly increased bringing the 0-60 time down to an even 3 seconds versus the stock 3.1 and top speed raised to 217mph over the stock 211mph.

The Novitec Group is very capable of adding more performance upgrades, but what they really specialize in is the visual aspect of things. They somehow turn these cars that were built using the highest levels of engineering, materials, and quality control into even better looking cars. The F12 was already a gorgeous car using the large front engine coupe style format but what Novitec Rosso has done with the Dark Knight here is just absolute perfection. Using a race inspired look that was co-developed by Vittorio Strosek, a master German Designer, they used lightweight carbon materials to create many subtle changes that would end up creating this incredibly mean, but also super sexy looking lines that you cant take your eyes off. I can’t tell if its a full wide body kit or not but the front most definitely appears as if it has been widened. There are new front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, a fixed rear wing, and also something referred to as a central front blade air intake. They have also fitted it with a hydraulic lift system that drops the car 40mm, which is a little over an inch and a half, but in the event of a speed bump, driveway or something along those lines you just need to press a button and the car will left back to its stock height.

There is only going to be eleven of these beauties created and pricing is said to be determined upon request, but considering the stock F12 will cost well over $300,000 I highly doubt those eleven people will be concerned at all with how much it will cost them. Can you blame them? With a car that looks this good can you honestly sit a say that you wouldn’t do the same if you were in a position to do so? My thoughts exactly.
