Chris Harris has recently started his new web based show on the Top Gear YouTube Channel and it didn’t disappoint. He took out the new “Italian M3”, otherwise know as the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and ran it though its paces to see if it really deserves all the hype. When looking at the specs on paper, it definitely appears as if it will be very promising. Under the hood is a 2.9L twin turbo V6 that produces a massive 512hp!

The Guilia is set to compete in the high performance mid-size luxury class against powerhouses like Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, and of course the M3. Now its very unlikely that even a company like Alfa Romeo that has been around what seems like forever will be able to take the top spot away from the M3 with its first attempt. As a matter of fact they would be doing very well for themselves if the Guilia didn’t get flat out embarrassed by the M3.

We don’t want to give to much away, hearing Harris’ opinion on the car is what really matters at this point. But what we will say is that although it may not be quite as good as it was made out to be, its still a very good car that with a few tweaks here and there will actually give the ultimate driving machine a run for its money. Which as you all know we are avid BMW “M” enthusiasts so we aren’t sure how to feel about that. But one thing is for sure, an Italian made four-door mid-size sedan with a 500hp twin turbo V6 sending power to the rear wheels sounds pretty badass.
